N.C.S.A. Membership Meeting is scheduled on September 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Our next Director meeting is scheduled on Thursday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM. 2010 meeting dates are posted online at www.ncsaonline.org.

Tuesday Night Work Party As you know the Club property must been given due attention to provide a safe and enjoyable 2010 shooting season. The Archery, Outdoor Pistol, Trap, Plinking and Rifle Range will all need attention and repair work following the winter’s effects. Members accumulating 10 hours of work time will reduce there membership dues by $20.00. If Tuesday night at 6pm is not a convenient time, contact Elmer at 731-4535

NYS Sporter Rifle League John Lotz has confirmed Thursday, September 23rd as the starting date for the first Sporter Rifle Match. The League schedule will consists of 21 Matches, ending March 3rd 2011. Starting on Thursday, September 2nd at 6:30 John will hold practice night until the league starts on September 23rd. The team welcomes new shooters to join them and the NYS League. For more information call John at 735-7517

NEW THIS YEAR AT NCSA Our Long Range Handgun Match is being held on Saturdays at 12:00 PM. The match fee is $1.00, use a Thompson Contender, Encore, Remington XP 100, Wichita Arms, Wildey, Savage Arms, Magnum Research, H-S Precision, Anschutz, MOA Maximum or any Handgun with a barrel length not exceeding 15 inch. Improve hand loads, tune up shooting skills or develop that round to drop that quarry in its tracks. We fire at 100 yards using the 50yd B6 slow fire target. Shoot Benchrest, Offhand, or use a Shooting Stick. You have 10 minuets for unlimited sighters, 20 minuets for 10 rounds (first target), and 20 minuets for 10 rounds (second target). Match dates are posted in the schedule below, in our monthly calendar and online at www.ncsaonline.org

900 Pistol Match The 900 Match has moved to Wednesday evenings and started April 21st with signup at 5:30 PM and the match starting at 6 PM. There is a $2.00 fee for the Match, an optional $1.00 (Share the Wealth drawing) and an optional $1.00 Mega (I’ll Take It All) drawing. A buffet at season’s end will be planed for those who wish to attend. The match consists of: 2 slow fire targets, 1 National Match (slow, timed, and rapid) 2 timed fire targets and 2 rapid fire targets, 90 rounds with a .22 caliber semi automatic pistol or a caliber of your choice.

Women on Target NCSA is holding the Women on Target Shooting Clinic on September 11, 2010. With registration at 8:30am, Classes will start at 9:00am. A lunch will be served at midday, continuing with hands on training thru 4:30pm. Instructions include .22 cal. Rifle, Shotgun, Compound Bow, and Handgun. Handgun class participants must possess a valid NYS Handgun Permit and must provide their own handgun and ammo. Groups will rotate stations throughout the day. Cost is $20.00 which includes use of a 22 Rifle, Shotgun, Archery equipment plus ear and eye protection and lunch. For more information call Lori at 998-8821

John Garand & National Rifle Match the Garand Match, a 30 round, and two 50 round Match, with 5 rounds sighters in 5 min, using SR target at 200 yards followed by the standard Course of Fire, With Club supplied ammo; 1 MATCH (30 round) is $14.00 - 1 MATCH (50 round) is $18.00. The National Rifle Match, 5 sighters in 5 minuets followed by 50 shot National Match Course (200 yd and 300 yd). National Match fee is $15.00 per match, which includes a $4.50 fee for NRA sanction. Junior Rifle Training Program The Junior Rifle Training Program had its last class on Saturday May 1st. 2010. This class is for children ages 6-12 and 12-20, and will resume on Saturday, September 18th at 12:00 PM. The program with certified instructors is intended to: 1) Teach youths the vital importance of FIREARM SAFETY. 2) Provide the hands on training necessary to build confidence and develop their marksmanship skills. NCSA provides pneumatic air guns for children ages 6-12. Though junior students’ ages 12-20 may bring there own .22 caliber rifles, but have the option of using a .22 caliber rifle supplied by N.C.S.A. For more info call Chris 773-7162

NCSA Shirts and Hats We have Niagara County Sportsmen's shirts and hats with the Club Logo on them and are available for purchase at the Club on both membership and directors meeting dates, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday mornings. See George Durkin to purchase your shirts and or hats. Polo shirts are priced at $10.00 each, T-Shirts are $7.00 each. For more information contact George at 298-5923  

NRA Membership/Renewal Join the N.R.A. or renew an N.R.A. membership, your one year N.R.A. dues or renewal fee of $35.00 is reduced to $25.00, you save $10.00. In return, N.C.S.A. receives a commission of $10.00 for new NRA members and $5.00 for any NRA renewal. There is  a “print it yourself” link on our home page at (www.ncsaonline.org) after printing and completing the form you can mail it in yourself to the address on the form, You can also secure both a form and an envelope that are available on the bulletin board at NCSA, and likewise mail it in yourself. N.C.S.A. Membership Renewals. Dues were due June 1st.  For your convenience we had included a self addressed envelope with a renewal form in our April Newsletter mailing to renew your Membership. We again ask that you please return the renewal with proper payment to the address indicated on the form. Or, you can deposit it the collection box next to the sign in sheet (No cash please). A printable member renewal form is available on our website, www.ncsaonline.org, or you can obtain a renewal form left near the collection box at the club. If you are unable to acquire a form, mail your dues (Check or MO) to: Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. P.O. Box 194, North Tonawanda New York 14120. Include Name, Member number. Indoor Range Access Anyone wishing to use the indoor range must pay a yearly range fee of $20.00 and will need to attend a one time range orientation to become familiar with range equipment, range rules and ammo that can and cannot be used on our range. When completed, our access control will be programmed to allow you access to the Indoor Range. The orientation is routinely offered immediately after the conclusion of our membership meetings, scheduled at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month, and at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday following the General Meetings. Indoor Range Renewal You may renew your Indoor Range access any time during the year. Your status from any previous year will be considered verification that you have had the required Indoor Range Orientation Briefing. If your Indoor Range access has been turned off it will be restored upon receipt of payment to the Membership Chairman. If you have other questions, please contact Mike at 695-0090

Membership Applications, We accept applications and provide orientation for new applicants at 12:00 PM sharp, on the day of and prior to our General Membership Meeting held on the second Sunday of each month. We also accept  applications and provide orientation at 7 PM sharp on the second Tuesday following our General Membership Meeting. Any exceptions to this schedule will be noted in our monthly calendar. Applicants must obtain a background check from their local Police or Sheriff's department, and must present it at the time of their membership orientation.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid New York State Pistol Permit can and will be accepted as your background check,

And you will also need to bring:

1) An initiation fee of $75.00 included in the You Pay column below,
2) Prorated dues included in the You Pay column below and,
3) $5.00 deposit for your personal Key Card included in the You Pay column below.

Indoor Range Orientation is available at the time of your Membership Orientation with a yearly fee of $20.00, which allows you to use your Key Card to access the Indoor Range.  If you have questions contact Steve at 283-3967
