Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced changes to current state regulations banning the overland transport of uncertified baitfish by anglers, including baitfish that are personally collected. The proposed revisions in the Notice of Proposed Rule Making filed would allow for the overland transport of personally collected baitfish within three specified transportation corridors, as long as the baitfish are used in the same waters from which they are collected. The three transportation corridors include: along Lake Erie - Upper Niagara River; the Lower Niagara River - Lake Ontario - St. Lawrence River; and, the Hudson River from the Federal Dam at Troy downstream to the Tappan Zee Bridge. **NOTICE** NYS Boarder Patrol will be using the Indoor Pistol Range on May 17th from 9:30 AM thru 12:30 PM.

 Tuesday Work Party at 6:00 The Archery, Pistol, Trap, Plinking, Rifle Range and grounds need attention. Members who accumulate 10 hours of work time will reduce there membership dues by $20.00. If Tuesday evening is not convenient, arrange a more suitable time to accommodate your schedule. Call Elmer at 731-4535

N.C.S.A. Family Picnic will be on Sunday August 7th from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM. We ask that those attending bring a side dish or dessert to share. Grilled food and drinks will be supplied by the Club and ranges will be closed during the picnic hours. Please call Elmer in advance at 731-4535 with the number of individuals in your party.

N.Y.S. Sporter Rifle League N.C.S.A. took first place in the N.Y.S. Sporterifle League and Bob Berti took a first place individual award in the Sharpshooter Class. We would like to thank and congratulate John Lotz and everyone that participated in the 2010-2011 season. We sincerely hope to see everyone back, along with any new shooters for the Sporter Rifle 11/12 season. For more info call John at 735-7517

Western NY Outdoor Pistol The first WNYOPL Match will be held at Tonawanda Sportsmen’s Club on May 1st. Handgun Shooters at any level are welcome to attend to represent and shoot for a gun club of their choosing. The season consists of 21 weeks and most shooters take part in the .22 match and the centerfire match, though you may shoot only the .22 caliber match. .22 LR Benchrest Match is scheduled on the 3rd Saturday each month. Refer to the 2011 NCSA Match Dates below for specific dates. Or for more information call Elmer G. at 731-4535 

200yd Offhand Rifle New Match offered to NCSA shooters, this match will start April 2, 2011 and is scheduled on the first Saturday of each month following the 100yd Offhand Match, start time is 11:30 AM. Refer to the 2011 NCSA Match Dates below for specific dates. Or for more information call Carl at 791-4109

900 Pistol Match moved to Wednesday night, signup at 5:30 PM the match starting at 6:00 PM. Outdoors you may use any revolver or semi-auto handgun with any caliber you wish. There is a $2.00 fee for the Match and an optional $1.00 (Share the Wealth) an optional $1.00 (I’ll Take It All) drawing. The match consists of: 2 slow fire targets, 1 National Match (slow, timed, and rapid) 2 timed fire targets and 2 rapid fire targets, 90 rounds in all.

Junior Rifle Training Program The Junior Rifle Training Program started classes on Saturday, September 18th at 12:00 PM. The program with certified instructors is intended to teach youths the vital importance of FIREARM SAFETY, at the same time provide the hands on training necessary to build confidence and develop their marksmanship skills. NCSA provides pneumatic air guns for children ages 6-12. Junior students’ ages 12-20 may bring there own .22 caliber rifles, but also have the option of using a .22 caliber rifle supplied by N.C.S.A. NRA Membership/Renewal Join the N.R.A. or renew an N.R.A. membership, your one year N.R.A. dues or renewal fee of $35.00 is reduced to $25.00, you save $10.00. In return, N.C.S.A. receives a commission of $10.00 for new NRA members and $5.00 for any NRA renewal. There is  a “print it yourself” link on our home page at (www.ncsaonline.org) after printing and completing the form you can mail it in yourself to the address on the form, You can also secure both a form and an envelope that are available on the bulletin board at NCSA, and likewise mail it in yourself. N.C.S.A. Membership Renewals. Dues were due June 1st.  For your convenience we had included a self addressed envelope with a renewal form in our April Newsletter mailing to renew your Membership. We again ask that you please return the renewal with proper payment to the address indicated on the form. Or, you can deposit it the collection box next to the sign in sheet (No cash please). A printable member renewal form is available on our website, www.ncsaonline.org, or you can obtain a renewal form left near the collection box at the club. If you are unable to acquire a form, mail your dues (Check or MO) to: Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. P.O. Box 194, North Tonawanda New York 14120. Include Name, and Member number. Indoor Range Access Anyone wishing to use the indoor range must pay a yearly range fee of $20.00 and will need to attend a one time range orientation to become familiar with range equipment, range rules and ammo that can and cannot be used on our range. When completed, our access control will be programmed to allow you access to the Indoor Range. The orientation is routinely offered immediately after the conclusion of our membership meetings, scheduled at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month, and at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday following the General Meetings. Indoor Range Renewal You may renew your Indoor Range access any time during the year. Your status from any previous year will be considered verification that you have had the required Indoor Range Orientation Briefing. If your Indoor Range access has been turned off it will be restored upon receipt of payment to the Membership Chairman. If you have other questions, please contact Mike at 695-0090

Membership Applications, We accept applications and provide orientation for new applicants at 12:00 PM sharp, on the day of and prior to our General Membership Meeting held on the second Sunday of each month. We also accept  applications and provide orientation at 7 PM sharp on the second Tuesday following our General Membership Meeting. Any exceptions to this schedule will be noted in our monthly calendar. Applicants must obtain a background check from their local Police or Sheriff's department, and must present it at the time of their membership orientation.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid New York State Pistol Permit can and will be accepted as your background check,

And you will also need to bring:

1) An initiation fee of $75.00 included in the You Pay column below,
2) Prorated dues included in the You Pay column below and,
3) $5.00 deposit for your personal Key Card included in the You Pay column below.
