2012 Elections A nominating committee has been selected consisting of two Directors and one Member for the 2012 Elections held December 11, 2011. Paul Bartlett, Steve Urbaniak, with Chuck Dahlke serving as assistant will present a list of the best possible candidates to run for office at our November 13th membership meeting. eligible candidates WILL be placed on the ballot AND included in the December 11th elections WHEN nominated off the floor at the November 13th Meeting, providing they have the required two years of service to serve as Director or three years of service required to serve as an Officer. NIGHT VISION OPTICS A members inquiry, as to shooting with night vision optics after dusk was discussed and considered at our October 9th Membership Meeting, the results of the discussion concluded that shooting after dusk presented an unsafe condition due to insufficient lighting, and was brought to the Membership for a vote, that established that: No SHOOTING after dusk will be allowed on any NCSA outdoor range, With the exception of the well light Trap Range. You’re Board of Directors.

Monday Morning Indoor Pistol Starting Monday morning November 7th 2011 and each Monday thereafter, members and guests are invited to join our group for the match with signup at 9:30 AM and the match starting at 10am, an informal .22 cal. National Match, consisting of 30 rounds, one slow fire target (10 rounds) one timed fire target (10 rounds) and one rapid fire target (10 rounds). Following the .22 match we will also have a Centerfire National Match consisting of 30 rounds, one slow fire target (10 rounds) one timed fire target (10 rounds) and one rapid fire target (10 rounds) There is a $2.00 fee for the Match, and two optional $1.00 drawings.

900 Pistol Match has moved indoors, Saturday morning with signup at 9:30 AM and the match starting at 10 AM witch is restricted to .22 cal. handguns. There is a $2.00 fee for the Match, an optional $1.00 (Share the Wealth) drawing and an optional $1.00 (I’ll Take It All) drawing. The match consists of: 2 slow fire targets, 1 National Match (slow, timed, and rapid) 2 timed fire targets and 2 rapid fire targets, 90 rounds in all. 

 Save $10.00 on your NRA Membership or Renewal, NCSA receives $10.00 for new NRA Members and $5.00 for each NRA Member renewal using our NCSA Recruiter number. A “JOIN NRA” link is posted on the NCSA Website that will take you to the NRA online Membership page. Hand written NRA applications with postage paid self addressed envelopes will be processed at our Membership Meetings. The NRA application will be completed by our NRA Recruiter or an NCSA Director and mailed in with your $25.00 check. Allow six weeks for conformation.

N.Y.S. Sporter Rifle League started on August 18th 2011 with five weeks of practice and the first official league match starting September 22nd. We hope to see everyone back along with any new shooters for the 2011/12 Sporter Rifle season.  For more info call John at 735-7517.

Trap Shooting is held every Monday night

 

Junior Rifle Training Program with certified instructors is intended to teach youths the vital importance of FIREARM SAFETY, at the same time provide the hands on training necessary to build confidence and develop their marksmanship skills. NCSA provides pneumatic “air guns” for children ages 6-12. Junior students’ ages 12-20 may bring there own .22 caliber rifles, but also have the option of using a .22 caliber rifle supplied by N.C.S.A. For more info call Chris 773-7162

NRA Membership/Renewal Join the N.R.A. or renew an N.R.A. membership, your one year N.R.A. dues or renewal fee of $35.00 is reduced to $25.00, you save $10.00. In return, N.C.S.A. receives a commission of $10.00 for new NRA members and $5.00 for any NRA renewal. There is  a “print it yourself” link on our home page at (www.ncsaonline.org) after printing and completing the form you can mail it in yourself to the address on the form, You can also secure both a form and an envelope that are available on the bulletin board at NCSA, and likewise mail it in yourself. N.C.S.A. Membership Renewals. Dues were due June 1st.  For your convenience we had included a self addressed envelope with a renewal form in our April Newsletter mailing to renew your Membership. We again ask that you please return the renewal with proper payment to the address indicated on the form. Or, you can deposit it the collection box next to the sign in sheet (No cash please). A printable member renewal form is available on our website, www.ncsaonline.org, or you can obtain a renewal form left near the collection box at the club. If you are unable to acquire a form, mail your dues (Check or MO) to: Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. P.O. Box 194, North Tonawanda New York 14120. Include Name, and Member number. Indoor Range Access Anyone wishing to use the indoor range must pay a yearly range fee of $20.00 and will need to attend a one time range orientation to become familiar with range equipment, range rules and ammo that can and cannot be used on our range. When completed, our access control will be programmed to allow you access to the Indoor Range. The orientation is routinely offered immediately after the conclusion of our membership meetings, scheduled at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month, and at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday following the General Meetings. Indoor Range Renewal You may renew your Indoor Range access any time during the year. Your status from any previous year will be considered verification that you have had the required Indoor Range Orientation Briefing. If your Indoor Range access has been turned off it will be restored upon receipt of payment to the Membership Chairman. If you have other questions, please contact Mike at 695-0090

Membership Applications, We accept applications and provide orientation for new applicants at 12:00 PM sharp, on the day of and prior to our General Membership Meeting held on the second Sunday of each month. We also accept  applications and provide orientation at 7 PM sharp on the second Tuesday following our General Membership Meeting. Any exceptions to this schedule will be noted in our monthly calendar. Applicants must obtain a background check from their local Police or Sheriff's department, and must present it at the time of their membership orientation.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid New York State Pistol Permit can and will be accepted as your background check,

And you will also need to bring:

1) An initiation fee of $75.00 included in the You Pay column below,
2) Prorated dues included in the You Pay column below and,
3) $5.00 deposit for your personal Key Card included in the You Pay column below.

Indoor Range Orientation is available at the time of your Membership Orientation with a yearly fee of $20.00, which allows you to use your Key Card to access the Indoor Range.  If you have questions contact Steve at 283-3967
