N.C.S.A. Membership Meeting scheduled Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Our next Director meeting is on Thursday, February 2, 2011 at 7:00 PM.   Meeting dates are posted online at www.ncsaonline.org

2012 DUES INCREASE Effective June 1, 2012, NCSA’s Membership Dues will be increased from $75.00 to $80.00, and the New Member Initiation Fee will be increased from $75.00 to $80.00. Senior Dues, age 64 with 5 years continued membership will be increased from $37.50 to $40.00, and our Indoor Pistol Range Fee will be increased from $20.00 to $25.00. New Members are required to pay a fee of $5.00 as a deposit for your personal Key Card used to gain entrance into the clubhouse. The Junior Membership Fee for age 16 is $5.00 for the first year and $3.00 for the second year. A 17 year old will pay $5.00. At age 18, both will pay the regular membership dues. The daily guest fee was increased from $3.00 to $5.00 and became effective Nov. 13, 2011.

FREE RELOADING CLINIC NCSA will hold the traditional Charles Collins Reloading Clinic on Monday, February 27th at 7:00 PM. Create your own superior ammo and save money at the same time. For more info contact Mike B, MikeBart@ncsaoline.org or call Mike W, MikeW@ncsaonline.org

SWEATSHIRTS AVAILABLE NCSA will be taking pre-orders and pre-payment for sweatshirts prior to placing a minimum order of 12. Available colors are Blue, Gray and Black and will have an NCSA embroidered emblem on the front side of the shirt. We have four different size samples available for you to try before ordering yours,  So, to order yours we suggest you try the size samples first, fill out the pre-order sheet with your Name, phone and Member number and pay the pre-order payment of $23.00, Any Director will be willing to help you find you’re your right size and complete your order. DEC Youth Camp For 63 years, The New York DEC has provided a summer camp program in conservation education for young New Yorkers at Camp Rushford, which serves children who are 11 to 17 years of age. Youths become immersed in conservation education, participating in fun activities and games that teach the wise use of our natural resources. Attendees can choose 1 week from July 1-7, 8-14, 15-21 includes archery, or 22-28. Teen Ecology Week is July 29-Aug 4, Aug 5-11, or 11-18 includes archery. Cost for one week is $350, and is sponsored by NCSA. Applications can be submitted no earlier than January 28th 2012; after your application is processed and accepted, you will receive a postcard confirmation by mail. INFORMAL SENIOR Pistol This practice match is held every Monday, with signup at 9:30 AM and the match starting at 10:00 AM, Members and guests are invited to join our group for an informal .22 cal. National Match practice (10 rounds slow fire, 10 rounds timed fire and 10 rounds of rapid fire) and a Centerfire National Match practice. Following the pistol practice we will have a Sporter Rifle Match practice using the NRA rules to govern the match. There is a $2.00 fee for all three matches, and two $1.00 optional drawings.

INDOOR 900 Pistol Match Saturday morning with signup at 9:30 AM and the match starting at 10 AM, This match is restricted to .22 caliber handguns only, there is a $2.00 fee for the Match, an optional $1.00 (Share the Wealth) drawing and an optional $1.00 (Take It All) drawing.

 NRA Membership or Renewal Save $10.00, NCSA receives $10.00 for new NRA Members and $5.00 for each NRA renewal when using the “JOIN NRA” graphic link posted on our homepage that will direct you to the NRA online Membership page associated with NCSA’s Recruiter ID number. NRA applications are also available at our Membership Meetings. The application will be completed by our Recruiter and mailed in with your payment.

N.Y.S. Sporter Rifle started the first official match on September 22nd. We encourage new shooters to join us for the 2011/12 Sporter Rifle season on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM. For more info call John at 735-7517.

Junior Rifle Training Program with certified instructors is intended to teach youths the vital importance of FIREARM SAFETY, at the same time provide the hands on training necessary to build confidence and develop their marksmanship skills. NCSA provides pneumatic “air guns” for children ages 6-12. Junior students’ ages 12-20 may bring there own .22 caliber rifles, but also have the option of using a .22 caliber rifle supplied by N.C.S.A. For more info call Chris 773-7162

NRA Membership/Renewal Join the N.R.A. or renew an N.R.A. membership, your one year N.R.A. dues or renewal fee of $35.00 is reduced to $25.00, you save $10.00. In return, N.C.S.A. receives a commission of $10.00 for new NRA members and $5.00 for any NRA renewal. You can also secure both a form and an return envelope available at NCSA Membership Meetings, Thank You the BOD. For questions contact Russ at 874-5325

N.C.S.A. Membership Renewals. Dues were due June 1st.  For your convenience we had included a self addressed envelope with a renewal form in our April Newsletter mailing to renew your Membership. We again ask that you please return the renewal with proper payment to the address indicated on the form. Or, you can deposit it the collection box next to the sign in sheet (No cash please). A printable member renewal form is available on our website, www.ncsaonline.org, or you can obtain a renewal form left near the collection box at the club. If you are unable to acquire a form, mail your dues (Check or MO) to: Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. P.O. Box 194, North Tonawanda New York 14120. Include Name, and Member number. Indoor Range Access Anyone wishing to use the indoor range must pay a yearly range fee of $20.00 and will need to attend a one time range orientation to become familiar with range equipment, range rules and ammo that can and cannot be used on our range. When completed, our access control will be programmed to allow you access to the Indoor Range. The orientation is routinely offered immediately after the conclusion of our membership meetings, scheduled at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month, and at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday following the General Meetings. Indoor Range Renewal You may renew your Indoor Range access any time during the year. Your status from any previous year will be considered verification that you have had the required Indoor Range Orientation Briefing. If your Indoor Range access has been turned off it will be restored upon receipt of payment to the Membership Chairman. If you have other questions, please contact Mike at 695-0090

Membership Applications, We accept applications and provide orientation for new applicants at 12:00 PM sharp, on the day of and prior to our General Membership Meeting held on the second Sunday of each month. We also accept  applications and provide orientation at 7 PM sharp on the second Tuesday following our General Membership Meeting. Any exceptions to this schedule will be noted in our monthly calendar. Applicants must obtain a background check from their local Police or Sheriff's department, and must present it at the time of their membership orientation.

PLEASE NOTE: A valid New York State Pistol Permit can and will be accepted as your background check,

And you will also need to bring:

1) An initiation fee of $75.00 included in the You Pay column below,
2) Prorated dues included in the You Pay column below and,
3) $5.00 deposit for your personal Key Card included in the You Pay column below.
