N.C.S.A. Elections of Officers, Our Membership Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, December 13th at 2:00 PM. At this meeting, the Election Committee will make known to the Executive Board and the Membership, the results of the NCSA Elections. All eligible candidates running for office are running unopposed. Therefore, the secretary will cast one vote for each candidate for the election of 2010 officers, allowing each candidate to secure the respective seat. Running unopposed for President is Mike Wojtowicz, for Vice President Mike Bartlett, for Secretary Lori McLane, for Treasurer Russ Cappellino. Running unopposed for Director Seat is, George Durkin, Mike Goldpenny, Ron Duguay, Phil Bednarz, Christopher Donahue and Steve Taravella. Our next Directors meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd, at 7:00 PM. Meeting dates are also posted online at www.ncsaonline.org
900 Pistol Match The 900 Match has moved indoors to Saturday mornings with signup at 9:30 AM and the match starting at 10:00 AM. There is a $4.00 fee for the Match which includes a weekly cash prize drawing, and a buffet at season’s end, plus an optional $1.00 50/50 split drawing. A casual match consisting of: Two slow fire targets, One National Match (Slow, Timed, Rapid) Two timed fire targets and two rapid fire targets, 90 rounds with a .22 caliber semi automatic pistol indoors, when we go outdoors you can use a caliber of your choice.
Suburban Pistol League The NCSA’s Pistol Team held it’s first Match at home on Tuesday, October 6th. The League schedule is available on the club bulletin board, online calendar and in the monthly Newsletter Calendar.
Niagara Frontier Pistol League NCSA’s Pistol Team held it’s first Match at home on Wed, October 7th. The League schedule is available on the club bulletin board, online calendar and in the monthly Newsletter Calendar.
Sporter Rifle Shooters NCSA started Sporter Rifle practice on Thursday, August 27th 2009, with signup at 6:30 PM, on the line at 7:00. The first match for the NYS Sporter Rifle League was Thursday, September 24th 2009, and will continue for 28 weeks, thru March 4th 2010. For more information call John at 735-7517
22 Benchrest Match has completed its 2009 schedule on Oct. 3rd. Elmer G. and the Board of Directors would like to thank all those who participated in making the Match a success, and are looking forward to providing you with the same enjoyment in 2010. The .22 Benchrest shooters also expressed their gratitude to Elmer for his work, service, and commitment for running the Match.
3 Position Rifle Match and 300 Yard Prone Match has completed its 2009 schedule on Oct. 18th. Carl and the Board of Directors would like to thank all those who participated in making both the 3 Pos and the 300yd Match a success and are looking forward to providing you with the same competition and fun next year. The shooters would like to thank Carl for his work, service and commitment for running both Matches.
*ATTENTION* Off Hand Rifle Match Though October 17th was to be the last day of the Off-Hand Match, Don T. expressed his willingness continue this match for as long as shooters are willing to participate. Shooting is at 100 yards using the ASSRA 200 yd target. The center bull is worth 25 points. Use any rifle, any caliber, or any type of sight. There will be two classifications for this Match: Class 1) pure off-hand, with no artificial support allowed except slings, hooked butt plates or palm rests allowed. Class 2) allows the use of, shooting sticks, tri-pods. Five minutes for sighters followed by 10 shots in 20 minutes for score with scoring downrange. The fee to shoot two matches is $1.00. John Garand & National Rifle Match Rich and the Board of Directors would like to thank those who participated in the Garand and National Match in 2009, and are looking forward to providing you with the same competition and fun next year. The shooters would like to thank Rich for his work and commitment for running both Matches.

Junior Rifle Program, NCSA initiated the first 2009 Junior Rifle Class on Saturday September 19th at 12:00 PM. The course is intended to educate juniors in firearm safety and improve their marksmanship skills. Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. maintains a number of .22 caliber rifles for juniors ages 12 thru 20 and are supplied for use in the course. In addition, all necessary materials for the course may be provided for this Rifle Marksmanship Course. Be sure to watch for future updates about the Junior Program. If you know a junior that would to like to participate in the rifle program, contact Elmer at 731-4535 or show up on any Saturday at 12:00 PM.
NCSA Shirts and Hats
We have Niagara County Sportsmen's
shirts and hats with the Club Logo on them and are available for purchase at the
Club on both membership and directors meeting dates, on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, and Sunday mornings. See George Durkin to purchase your shirts and or
hats. Polo shirts are priced at $10.00 each, T-Shirts are $7.00 each. For more

NRA Membership/Renewal Join the N.R.A. or renew an N.R.A. membership, your one year N.R.A. dues or renewal fee of $35.00 is reduced to $25.00, you save $10.00. In return, N.C.S.A. receives a commission of $10.00 for new NRA members and $5.00 for any NRA renewal. There is a “print it yourself” link on our home page at (www.ncsaonline.org) after printing and completing the form you can mail it in yourself to the address on the form, You can also secure both a form and an envelope that are available on the bulletin board at NCSA, and likewise mail it in yourself. N.C.S.A. Membership Renewals. Dues were due June 1st. For your convenience we had included a self addressed envelope with a renewal form in our April Newsletter mailing to renew your Membership. We again ask that you please return the renewal with proper payment to the address indicated on the form. Or, you can deposit it the collection box next to the sign in sheet (No cash please). A printable member renewal form is available on our website, www.ncsaonline.org, or you can obtain a renewal form left near the collection box at the club. If you are unable to acquire a form, mail your dues (Check or MO) to: Niagara County Sportsmen’s Assoc. P.O. Box 194, North Tonawanda New York 14120. Include Name, and Member number. Indoor Range Access
Anyone wishing to use the indoor range must pay a yearly range fee of $20.00 and
will need to attend a one time range orientation to become familiar with range
equipment, range rules and ammo that can and cannot be used on our range. When
completed, our access control will be programmed to allow you access to the
Indoor Range. The orientation is routinely offered immediately after the
conclusion of our membership meetings, scheduled at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday
of each month, and at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday following the General
Meetings. For more information contact George at 298-5923.
Indoor Range Renewal You may renew your Indoor Range access
any time during the year. Your status from any previous year will be considered
verification that you have had the required Indoor Range Orientation Briefing.
If your Indoor Range access has been turned off it will be restored upon receipt
of payment to the Membership Chairman. If you have other questions, please

Membership Applications, We accept applications and provide orientation for new applicants at 12:00 PM sharp, on the day of and prior to our General Membership Meeting held on the second Sunday of each month. We also accept applications and provide orientation at 7 PM sharp on the second Tuesday following our General Membership Meeting. Any exceptions to this schedule will be noted in our monthly calendar. Applicants must obtain a background check from their local Police or Sheriff's department, and must present it at the time of their membership orientation.
