The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a U.S. government-chartered program that promotes firearms safety training and rifle practice for all qualified U.S. citizens with special emphasis on youth. Any U.S. citizen, who is legally not prohibited from owning a firearm may purchase a military surplus rifle from the CMP, provided they are a member of a CMP affiliated club. At the September 14th Membership Meeting it was noted that N.C.S.A. has reestablished its affiliation with the CMP. Normally a copy of a Club ID card (proof of current membership) along with an order form and payment is required of the purchaser. NCSA does not issue ID cards yearly, thus requiring Members to submit a CMP MEMBER CERTIFICATION FORM, if you need this document, call Elmer at 731-4535
